Nonesuch Cycle Tours is me: Peter Henry (aka, The Peahen). In real life, I teach in the Department of Focused Inquiry at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, Virginia.

Since 2009, I’ve spent my summers working for the great-grandaddy of all bike tours, Erickson Cycle Tours. I’ve had an incredible time, working with the great clients and staff (and especially the beloved owners, Glenn and Nancy Erickson), and I've gotten to work in amazing places across Europe.

My partner Michelle is a native Nova Scotian (though--thankfully--she lives in Richmond these days), and so life has started to take me to Atlantic Canada in the summers.

What I’ve found in Nova Scotia is an amazing place to ride a bike--you’ve got cool summer weather (which, if you’re from Virginia, is much appreciated), the sea, a gorgeous network of gravel roads,* cold beer, and fresh seafood.

I created Nonesuch Cycle Tours in the hope that I could bring my years of experience working in European bike travel to this beautiful part of the world.

*(Okay, the paved roads are nice, too.)
